The Marketplace:

We have scoured the internet to gather together all of the most popular online frog and reptile trading websites in Australia where private breeders and pet owners can buy and sell frogs & reptiles. Whether it's a snake, frog, lizard, turtle or gecko that you are looking for you will find it here! If you don't find what you want today, come back frequently as it may be listed tomorrow.

If you have a worthwhile site to include on this webpage please email me the link and we'll review it.

A very basic and easy to use website. Contains no fancy search features, in fact, it has no search features! The latest advertisements are just added to the top of the heap and the viewer just scrolls up and down using the side scroll bar, and clicks into the ad he/she wants more information on. Has a facility for the seller to attach 3 photos to the ad. This is site is arguably the most popular website for pets because of its simplicity and ease of use. Plenty of reptiles for sale including tortoises, with the occasional frogs. Best of all its a Free Service.

This this the online version of the traditional Weekly Trading Post. A Popular site with all the search features you'd expect. Including a nice photo displayed with your advertisement. Listing your pets for sale comes at a price. Unfortunately, reptiles are lumped with "Other Pets".

This is actually a section in a forum set aside for members to advertise their excess pets for sale. Plenty to choose from on a no thrills sequential listing of 4-sale advertisements. To access the adverts click on either FOR SALE (Snakes) Or FOR SALE (Other Reptiles & Insects).

Another classified site attached to a ARK's forum. This one has nowhere near the number of ads as other forums but you might just find that one python around the corner from your suburb.

This site is a classifieds site. Has a basic search function. Contains more wanted advertisements than 4 Sale items but still worth a look. It is free for sellers to advertise on

A classifieds site which hangs off an informational website on reptiles, (www.reptilesdownunder.com), has basic search facilities and a fair amount of listings from advertisers to warrant a look.

This classifieds section hangs off the Macarthur Herpetological Societies forum which is part of the Society's official website.

Here's another classifieds site for birds irrespective of whether you are buying or selling. When you find an advertisement that you are interested in...don't forget to click photo to get more information on the seller. (they forget to tell you this on the webpage)

A classifieds site popular with dogs and cats but contains a handful of reptiles for sale. Photos provided and some nice search features are given.

This classifieds website has a handful of snakes and lizard listings. Unfortunately, they didn't see it important enough to have a seperate category for reptiles so the snakes and lizards that are advertised are nestled amongst all the other pets. A no frills website! Not even a search box is provided however it's all free for the sellor.

A site that is gaining popularity quickly. It has all the nice features that you'd expect and best of all it's all free for the sellor to use! Definately the most featured packed of the most popular Australian pet sites that I've seen.

At first glance you'd think there isn't a lot of listings to look at. But hit the NEXT button located at the bottom and 'Hey Presto' more listings appear. Don't forget to click on 'more' to display the details of the seller.

An easy to use website, with basic search features. Not a lot of listings at the moment but hopefully over time that will change.
